Get Ready for the Great California ShakeOut! Students and families, it’s time to Drop, Cover, and Hold On! The Great California ShakeOut is a great opportunity for our school community to practice what to do during an earthquake and make sure everyone knows how to stay safe. ShakeOut Day: October 15, 2026 During the drill, remember: DROP to the ground COVER your head and neck and get under a sturdy table or desk if possible HOLD ON until the shaking stops Families can join in at home, too! Take a few minutes to talk about your family’s emergency plan, identify safe places in your home, and make sure your emergency supplies are ready. Together, we can build a safer, more prepared community! #GreatCaliforniaShakeOut #ShakeOut #EarthquakeSafety #EmergencyPreparedness #SchoolSafety #DropCoverHoldOn
